Fountain of Youth

This magazine features six different sections, each with a distinct design style. This is done intentionally because the inner child is a complex psychological concept, and I believe that it cannot be represented in one way. 

The first article, “A Child in Your Shadow” dives into the psychology behind the inner child. This article covers the history and the development of the inner child, and how it translates into adult life. The following articles are personal stories that narrate how the inner child relates to my life. These articles are in chronological order starting with my early childhood and ending senior year of college.

Throughout the development process, I wore many hats including Art Director, Editor in Chief, Photographer, Graphic Designer, Stylist, Set Designer, Model, Compositor, and Color-Grader.

The goal of this project is to introduce new perspectives to the viewer and kindle self reflection. Technologies used for this project include: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Lightroom, and Canon EOS R.
